the magic bullet is marketing trash, if someone gave me one i would toss it. learn to use a knife.
I have a magic bullet and I love it (it’s used 4 times a day in my house), but I only use it for smoothies. Everything else turns to mush in it and unrecognizable as what it’s supposed to be.
If you want a good small chopper google "mini food chopper", click on images from the results and get something like that. Or use a good knife (my personal preference).
I also have one of these… http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=http://www.thenewpink.co.uk/wp-content/themes/thenewpink/images/foodchopper.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.thenewpink.co.uk/2007/03/21/the-pampered-chef/&h=225&w=180&sz=19&hl=en&start=1&um=1&tbnid=I8AyZm-A1R6qOM:&tbnh=108&tbnw=86&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dpampered%2Bchef%2Bfood%2Bchopper%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26newwindow%3D1%26safe%3Doff%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26sa%3DG but it’s not good for all things so it’s not worth it either. The only thing mine gets used for is onions and olives.
we got the magic bullet as a gift and it was a piece of junk for my purposes.. I suppose it would be good for drinks but that is about it.. get a mini chopper for small jobs and a full sized food processor for big ones.. that is what I have.. the mini choppers run about $10-15 and the full sized food precessors are in the $30-50 range if you go to a cheaper store like kmart or target.. what is nice about having both is that you can keep the mini in a kitchen cabinet for easy access..
another good option is the pampered chef chopper – see link below.. it is good for working out frustration and does not need to be plugged in.. on the down side it can be pretty noisy..
the bullet looks great on tv but so does everything, i have one of the nicer dicers which are ok but its more washing up and its fiddly. i am happier just using a plain old knife and chopping board!
A magic bullet will make them very tiny, and if you leave it on too long, they’ll be mush.
There are food choppers out there, but only with a knife can you can completely control the size you chop the food.
Here are some of the food choppers on the market:
