What is the best manual dicer for vegetables?

I looked at the reviews for several dicers on Amazon.com; The Nicer Dicer, The Vidalia Chop Wizard, Black and Decker Chopper, Bonzai Food Dicer, and few others. Prices vary.
I want a chopper that won’t bend or break when chopping onions or potatoes. I don’t mind paying a little extra for one that will last. I have a food processor but it’s bulky and uses electricity. I just want something simple to use and simple to store. Any ideas?

Just use a good chef knife.
A good knife! I own a set of J.A. Heinckels (double guys on them), and they are really exceptional knives.
A nice sharp chef’s knife that is well balanced in your hand with a no slip grip on the handle.
Other gagets may seem like a good deal until they get dull, and they do.
I use a Mandolin to slice and do some other tedious work, but they do also require sharpening as do knives.
Sometimes convience items are just as bad as the manual ones.
To each his own!
How about a knife?
Seriously, most of the gadgets they sell are pretty flimsy, or else take up WAY too much space, or are hard to clean. (or all three problems and more!)
With a good sharp knife and a little practise you’ll be able to dice your veggies in any size and shape you want, without the hassle of setting up a machine…. and after a few weeks it’s likely to be just as fast as with the machine, but with super quick & easy clean-up!
Vidalia Chop Wizard works for me.
